BEAUTY COFFEE RECIPE: ADD THESE 4 INGREDIENTS TO YOUR MORNING BREW FOR HEALTHY AND YOUTHFUL SKIN

Updated: Jun 13

How I discovered beauty coffee

When I first started drinking this coffee it wasn't for the purpose of improving my skin. I needed to cut dairy out of my diet and was looking for a substitute for heavy whipping cream. I am a total coffee addict and hate drinking it black! Because of this I started experimenting with ingredients that would still allow me to still enjoy my morning cup of coffee. When I tried this recipe for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and frothiness. I swear the tallow makes it taste like donuts and the froth is so enjoyable. Now, I don't miss the cream at all and it's the only way I will drink my coffee!

Yum, clean tasting coffee house style coffee with the added benefit of beauty at half the cost!

Why is beauty coffee beneficial for skin?

Beautiful skin is best achieved from the inside out. This means being mindful of what you are putting into your body, or mouth rather. Getting the right nutrients, fats, and proteins are crucial. If your diet is poor or full of inflammatory foods, all the beauty creams in the world won't do much good. Let's look at each ingredient and why it is good for your skin!

#1 Coffee

Coffee is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds which can help prevent skin cancer and may improve skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. Coffee also contains polyphenols (flavonoids, lignans, phenolis acids found in plants) which can help protect against oxidative stress, DNA damage, and even UV radiation. Drinking coffee can protect the skin from aging and may even decrease melasma (dark spots).

#2 Collagen

Collagen peptides are very small pieces of protein that are the building blocks of cartilage, bone, and skin. It's the most abundant protein in the human body. Getting dietary collagen can help improve skin hydration and skin elasticity for people who have aging skin. It may also help reduce wrinkles. Some good sources of dietary collagen include: collagen supplements, beef bone broth, beef gelatin, sardines, organ meats, chicken skin, pork rinds, and egg yolks.

#3 Egg yolks

Besides egg yolks being a good source of collagen, egg yolks also contain vitamins A, D, E, and K as well as omega 3 fatty acids. Additionally, they are rich in folate, vitamin B12, and amino acids. These nutrients can help add moisture, strength, and softness to the skin. Vitamin B can help protect skin from acne, skin irritation, and dryness.

#4 Grass-fed beef tallow

Grass-fed tallow is rich in skin nourishing vitamins A, D, E, and K. These fat soluble vitamins are critical for normal function, growth, and maintenance of the skin. They also as as antioxidants to prevent premature aging of skin cells. It also contains omega 3 fatty acids that support cell membrane structure and help skin hold in moisture.

Tips for making the perfect cup of beauty coffee

1st Start with a good quality coffee

First, start with a good quality coffee. I buy what I can afford. However, I have heard that 70% of all coffee is contaminated with mold and other toxins? This can cause unwanted symptoms such as brain fog, stomach upset, and more serious health conditions. If your budget can afford it, and I'll be honest I can't, then look for a coffee that is clean and/or tested for toxins such as mold, pesticides, and other toxins.

2nd Use grass-fed and pasture raised products

When possible, shop for grass-fed tallow and pasture raised eggs. These products contain higher amounts of nutrients for healthy skin. However, buy what is available to you and what you can afford.

3rd use a good quality blender

This recipe may not be the best without a blender. The ingredients will not incorporate well into the coffee and you won't get that nice frothiness on top. My favorite blender by far is the Nutri Ninja Pro Blender. I've had this blender for several years and it works like a champ! It is powerful and the blades are able to extract vitamins and nutrients for great tasting, smooth, and nutritious beverages. Its great for coffee, protein shakes, and smoothies.
