I was inspired to create this recipe after having the opportunity to try Carnivore Crisps Flour! After I tasted the flour my brain started spinning with new recipe ideas, and I thought it would be great for fried foods. I usually make this chicken fried steak recipe with a pork rind panko, but it doesn't always stick to the outside of the steak well. However, this Carnivore Crisps Grass Fed Beef Flour coats and sticks to the outside of the food just like traditional wheat flour does. Plus, it doesn't taste like beef at all and it gets crispy! You can use this product in any of your favorite recipes that call for flour from baking to frying.
Not everyone tolerates pork rinds in their diet, and many pork rinds are fried in seed oils, so using Carnivore Crisps flour is a much healthier alternative. Carnivore Crisps Grass Fed Beef flour is animal based and only contains two ingredients, grass-fed beef and Redmond Real Salt. It's also high in protein and zero carb, making it the perfect flour for carnivores!

carnivore chicken fried steak with country gravy
Ingredients
Cube Steak:
1 lb cube steaks (about 4 steaks)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp paprika
salt and pepper to taste
2 large eggs
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
Tallow or preferred cooking oil
Keto Country gravy:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp beef gelatin powder
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Season the cube steak with salt and pepper to taste. Next, add the Carnivore Crisps Grass Fed Beef Flour, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper to a plate or bowl and mix with a spoon. Then, add the egg and heavy whipping cream to a bowl and whisk the mixture until well combined.
Dredge the cubed steak in the egg mixture and then the flour mixture. Do this for all 4 steaks, placing them on a plate and set aside.
In a large frying pan, add the tallow and melt over medium high heat. The size of your pan will determine how much tallow you need. You want the tallow to be a minimum of 1/4" deep in the pan. When the tallow is hot, add the steaks one to two at a time. Fry for about 3 minutes on each side. The flour will brown a bit with frying and will have a dark brown color. This is normal due to the flour being brown in color. Transfer the steaks to a plate once they are done cooking.
While the steaks are resting, add the heavy whipping cream and butter to a small to medium size sauce pan. Heat the cream and butter to a gentle simmer. Then add in the beef gelatin powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the gelatin dissolves. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce reduces and becomes thick.
Serve the chicken fried steaks topped with country gravy and enjoy!
