I'm always making my favorite meals keto or carnivore style. A lot of people think this way of eating is restrictive, but you can still enjoy many of the dishes you ate on a Standard American Diet without all the carbs and sugar!
This recipe can be made sweet or savory. For a savory french toast you can serve the french toast topped with butter or whipped cream. For a sweet french toast you can top the french toast with Lakanto sugar free keto maple flavored syrup, and/or low carb berries. You can also add heavy cream to the egg mixture if you prefer.
carnivore french toast
3-4 large eggs
2 tbsp salted butter
homemade whipped cream (optional)
Lakanto Sugar Free Keto Maple Flavored Syrup (optional)
Preheat a large frying pan or griddle over medium to medium high heat. Add the butter to the pan.
Slice the bread. Add the eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla to a bowl and beat the mixture with a fork until well combined.
Dip the slice of bread into the egg mixture, then add the bread to the pan. Repeat for all the slices of bread. Cook the bread slices until they turn golden brown, then flip and brown the other side.
Transfer the french toast to a plate and top with butter, whipped cream, Lakanto sugar free keto maple flavored syrup, or your favorite keto toppings. Enjoy!
